Yes you can upgrade at any time by filling out our upgrade form. It is free to upgrade and the only charge would be the price difference in the plan you upgrade to.

Are your servers Unix-, or Windows-based?
Our servers operate on Red Hat Linux version 9.0. We will announce news of our Windows hosting plans in the near future.
Do you allow adult content?
Adult content is allowed provided it is legal adult content. Our servers are located in Houston, Texas, so your site must comply with all local, state, and federal regulations regarding adult content.
Is sales tax included with my monthly or yearly plan?
All taxes and fees are included in your plan price.
Do you offer a web-based control panel for my site?
cPanel is provided to all users at no additional cost. Resellers will also have access to Web Host Manager. A demonstration of cPanel can be found Here

How often will I be billed?

Can I host my friends websites?
If you choose a shared hosting plan which allows you to host add-on domains, or if you choose a reseller or dedicated package, the answer is yes.
How long will it take to setup my account?
If you are paying by credit card, your account will be setup automatically within 15 minutes of placing your order. If you choose to pay using another method, such as Paypal, please allow up to 12 hours for processing.
Are there any hidden costs, or setup fees?
There are no hidden or extra fees associated with any of our hosting packages.
Can I purchase additional bandwidth or disk space?
If you require additional bandwidth or disk space, you may visit our Upgrade Page to upgrade to a larger plan. If you would like to purchase additional disk space or bandwidth, but do not need a larger plan, or if you need more space than our highest plan offers, please email us atsales@hostgator.com to discuss custom package options.
Do you offer telnet or shell access?
For security purposes, we do not offer shell/telnet access to any of our shared or reseller account holders.

Lets trouble shoot it some more here. If you are still having problems read it again. Still having problems? READ it once more. 99.9% of the people who contact us saying they have read it and are still having problems are given an answer quoting from this exact page. If you ask us for help we will not be able to help you because everything we could possibly tell you is in the above page, meaning if it doesn’t work you did not read and do everything listed.
What do I put for both incoming and outgoing mail server?
For both incoming and outgoing mail server put mail.yourdomain.com
Where do I go to check my emails using my browser?

How can I setup webmail to go directly to horde, neomail or squirrel mail?
Login to the one you prefer to use after doing so copy the entire url from your address bar. You will not login to your cPanel and create a subdomain to go to the address you just copied.
